Calling all aspiring fashion designers! Young creatives are invited to step into the world of fashion and discover how collections are brought to life, from inspiration and sketching to sustainable design and showcasing their finished creations.

Led by renowned educator and fashion entrepreneur Adila Cokar, this immersive 5-day camp introduces children to the real fashion design process, with no sewing required. Campers will explore mood boards, colour theory, fabrics, silhouettes, and sustainable fashion while creating their own mini collection and presenting it to family and friends during a special trunk show.

Each participant leaves with a completed debut collection and a Design Camp Certificate.

WHAT TO EXPECT

LEARN FROM A FASHION INDUSTRY EXPERT
Led by Adila Cokar, founder of Source My Garment and The Good Tee, campers gain insight into the world of ethical fashion and creative design through hands-on learning and real-world experiences.

CREATE YOUR OWN COLLECTION
From inspiration and mood boards to sketching and styling, children develop their own fashion concepts and bring them to life throughout the week.

EXPLORE FABRICS & SUSTAINABLE FASHION
Campers discover different fabric types, discuss the impact of fast fashion, and learn about circular design and responsible fashion practices.

FASHION ILLUSTRATION & DESIGN
Young designers learn about silhouettes, fashion figures, colour palettes, and how ideas move from 2D sketches into 3D concepts.

UPCYCLE WITH PURPOSE
Children are encouraged to bring 1-2 lightweight fabrics or pre-loved clothing items to transform into unique designs while learning about sustainability and reducing waste.

SHOWCASE YOUR WORK
The camp concludes with a special trunk show and parent showcase where campers present their creations and celebrate their achievements.

DESIGN CAMP CERTIFICATE
Each child receives a certificate to commemorate their creative journey.

DAILY THEMES

Day 1: Inspiration & Mood Board

- Children explore theme selection, colour theory, fabrics, and create their own mood boards.

Day 2: Sketching & Styles

- Campers learn about silhouettes, fashion illustration, and begin transforming ideas into three-dimensional designs.

Day 3: Fabric & Sustainable Fashion

- Young designers discover fabric properties, discuss fast fashion, and explore circular economy concepts while continuing their collections.

Day 4: Industry & Collection Development

- Children learn how garments are made, study real designers, and refine their collections.

Day 5: Trunk Show & Showcase

- Campers put the finishing touches on their work, create lookbook covers, and present their collections to family and friends before receiving their certificates.

MEET THE EDUCATOR

Adila Cokar is an award-winning educator, author, and sustainable fashion entrepreneur. As the founder of Source My Garment and The Good Tee (both certified B Corps) she brings years of experience in ethical fashion and design education.

Her work has been featured in publications including BuzzFeed, Forbes, WWD, and ELLE, and she is passionate about empowering young people to think creatively and design responsibly.
